Currently, you do not need to log in in order to view data (we plan to add features allowing Privileged Users to modify the security settings for different operations). However, you do need to perform other database functions.
Select the Login link from either the navigation bar or the Laboratory Main Menu. You should be automatically returned to the Laboratory Main Menu. The current user is displayed in the footer of every page. The navigation bar should also be modified to display the Log Out link rather than the Login link.
Select the Log Out link from either the navigation bar or the page footer. A message should be displayed noting that you have logged out.
To add, modify, or delete an experiment or experimental data:
- You must be assigned to the EDITOR user group or higher
- You must be logged in
- An error message will be displayed when trying to perform one of these operations

To define, modify or delete data types for an experiment OR modify web page display settings:
- You must be assigned to the PRIVILEGED user group or higher
- You must be logged in
- A Privileged Users Menu will be displayed at the bottom of each Experiment

To register new users or make modifications to existing users of the system:
- You must be assigend to the ADMINISTRATOR user group
- You must be logged in
- An Administrator's Menu will be displayed in the Laboratory Main Menu
